mission successful

My well planned project number 6 (see the post “news from over here“) worked great!
The idea was, to organize a nice birthday party for the girl I love! =)
As it was a top-secret, what I’m going to organize, I couldn’t publish it earlier over her! ;)
Her sister and I done great teamwork together and decided, to all meet up for lunch at my friend’s Luis restaurant.
When my love came into the restaurant, she was blown away from the surprise of seeing her sister and the two daughters of her sister! =)
I got two presents for her – first was a DVD writer/player USB external, which fits good to her new Netbook … – and second was a nice picture I’ve taken, which is actually a longer story …
Across of the street of my friend’s Luis restaurant in Antigua, Guatemala is a big house, which got an inner courtyard. In this inner courtyard stands a big tree, which is bigger than the house and gets light up at night with some spots. Each time we have dinner at my friends restaurant, we watch the tree from the window. Once we sat there in the night, she told me: I need to have a picture of this beautiful tree …
Just about a week ago, when I’ve done photos at my friends restaurant in the evening and waited for her, to enjoy dinner together, I’ve taken couple of pictures of this tree.
… and just in this moment a sweet cat came by on the roof of the house and sat there for 10 minutes to take some amazing photos.
Later on I worked out the best photo, printed it on photo paper and organized a very nice frame for it.
Actually only organizing the frame was a really challenge … same like printing the photo in real good colours … =b
A present, coming with a lot of love, from the middle of my heart! =)
Next I’ve organized her favourite cake from her favourite cafe restaurant and decorated this one with candles. But as you know me, I didn’t just chosen normal candles – I thought those, which you can blow out, but they will turn back on are MUUUCH more fun !!! ;P
… and they turned out to work really great – after blowing the candles out for around 35 times, the restaurant was filled up with as much smoke, as when it would stand totally in flames! ;b
In the middle of the cake I’ve placed two big candles, which are numbers and showing “17″ – just to make another joke ;P
We all enjoyed a very good lunch and the very good birthday cake! =)
It was a small, but very very very funny and happy birthday party!
At the end I’ve been amazed by all the organizations I’ve done and that everything worked such great! =)

free hugs

As I was just talking about it with a friend from Canada, I got the idea to google “free hugs” and found the official website right away …
I’ve realized this idea my own at the beginning of my world tour in New York City, USA. (thanks to Kristin at this point ;)
Check out the official YouTube clip of this great idea:

(hehe – prints a good picture on my hight technical education ;)
Here are some photos of this crazy action! =P

news from over here

At the moment I’m still in Antigua, Guatemala and quite busy.
I’m working here on couple of projects parallel …

1) The first project is going to Austria with the girl I love …
We are both busy at the moment, working for this goal. Nothing is fix jet, but I already started searching for flights. I’ve spent the last days a lot of time at many different travel agency’s, checking all different possibilities of flight options. If everything goes well, we will come together beginning of December to Austria and stay 5 or 6 weeks there. More information to this will be online, as soon as we booked flights!

2) I’m working on planes, what to do in Austria, in case we come. Trying to brainstorm and do a first cost calculation.

3) Still working on the new menu for the restaurant of my good friend Luis. The design is finished and looks awesome! The test-prints were great – I’ve won the fight against MS Word (haven’t got more professional software here ;)
We already done test photos with my camera, but they turned out to be too dark as I’m missing a professional light or photo studio.
So I need to work around this and got up with the idea, to transform the CocaCola refrigerator box into a photo studio. The CocaCola box is inside equipped with a bright fluorescent lamp. The problem, I have to work around is, that CocaCola doesn’t like people hacking their refrigerator box. The whole box only got one switch, which turns on the lamp in combination with the refrigerator module. But I’m not planning to freeze myself, by doing photos … ;P
I’ve already opened the box and finally found, with the second go, their big hidden trick with the many wired cables.
Now it should be easy to hack it – still, if something goes wrong, the fluorescent lamp will probably blow up … =P
If everything goes right, we will be able to take really good photos of the food, to place them in the menu. This will win the costumer’s attention! ;)

4) I still plan to travel a little bit around over here, before I will come back to Austria. I’m thinking about doing a small round trip of 3 or 4 weeks. Having here now a total of 7 weeks to the flight. Latest one week before I go to Austria, I plan to be back in Antigua. Have to plan, where to go and start searching for couches! ;)

5) Working on plans after 6 weeks Austria …
Basically I got two open options:
1 -> I return to Central America and then travel
South America – boat – Africa – back to Vienna, Austria
2 -> I stay extra 2 months in Austria (taking a small job) and then travel
Africa – boat – South America – back to Antigua, Guatemala
So that are the main ideas of travelling, I’m playing about right now in my head! ;)
Anyway, I will now book a return ticket, because it will come me much cheaper …

6) This is a secret project, which I will publish soon … ;P
… but keeps me right now as well busy =P

Glad fully I see, that I won my motivation back – I’m full of ideas and plans! ;)
I will publish more, whenever there is more … ;P

still here ;)

Well … no news today – I’m still here in Antigua, Guatemala and enjoy each day together with the girl I love! =)
At the moment I’m working on the computer, to create a great new menu for my friend’s Luis restaurant.
Just couple of days ago, I’ve done a day trip to Guatemala City and just like always, been up to crazy adventures …
During the day, I’ve first saw a car accident and late on something even more worse.
In the early afternoon it started to rain very strong, but only for about 15 minutes. I hide under the roof of a big home improvement store and waited until it stopped raining. When I continued walking, a small lake has been formed on the other side of a big highway. All the cars driving there, shot on there left side about 1 to 1 1/2 meters height water up into the air. I watched the cars and thought “no – I can’t pass the street over here … I will be 110% wet, when I reach the other side … =P”
In this moment I saw a blue sport car came along the street and thought, “wow – he is driving really fast, pointing to the fact, that there is a traffic jam just about 50 meters ahead from him …”
… and “PEEENNNGGG … “
Three cars been involved in one car accident, but glad fully nobody got injured or hurt! The three cars only been destroyed at there buffer-bars, as the second car made, through the punch of power, a small jump forward and crashed into the following car.
All the people immediately jumped out of there cars and had the situation under control.
Later on, I was walking along another big street, when I saw a city bus standing there. Surrounded by many people, a first aid wagon and police.
I walked by and saw the legs of a man laying on the floor of the bus.
I asked one police man, if he got shot and he answered with “yes” – I continued my question and asked him “or did he had a heart attack” … and the police man answered again with “yes” …
So I will probably never know, what really happened, as I forgot to buy the news paper on the following day.
But when I saw the doctor leaving the bus, there was no blood on his hand glows, so I guess it was a heart attack. Anyway it was not nice to see the legs of a man, laying with no reaction, on the floor of a city bus …
After a long day, full of much walking, I returned safe back home to Antigua in on of the chicken buses! =)
As I’ve been up to this story already couple of days ago, I will try to post my news in the future again more recently … ;)
My friend Jose, who I met in Boston, as he invented me and a friend for dinner, just send me a link to an awesome YouTube movie, he created together with friends! Don’t miss to check it out! ;)
